སེམས་དོན་རིག་པའི་སྤེལ་ཁང་འདི་གཞུང་གྲྭ་ཚང་གཙུག་ལག་འདུས་ཚོགས་ཀྱི་མངའ་འོག་ལུ་ཨིནམ་ལས་སྤེལ་ ཁང་འདི་ནང་ལས་མཐོ་རིམ་ཤེས་ཚད་མཐར་འཁྱོལ་ཡོད་མི་ན་གཞོན་ཚུ་རྒྱལ་གཞུང་ཞི་གཡོག་ལྷན་ཚོགས་ནང་ ལཱ་གཡོག་གི་དོན་ལུ་བཅའ་མར་གཏོགས་ཆོག་པའི་ངོས་ལེན་ཡོད།

Affiliation

Institute of Science of Mind is affiliated with the Central Monastic Body which is the oldest autonomous Buddhist institution in Bhutan. The institute is also recognised by the Royal Civil Service Commis- sion with an opportunity to sit for the national examination.

སེམས་དོན་རིག་པའི་སྤེལ་ཁང་གིས་ལོ་ངོ་བཞིའི་རིང་གཏན་འཇགས་དང་འཕྲོ་མཐུད་ཀྱི་སོབ་སོང་པ་ཚུ་ལུ་མཐོ་ རིམ་ཤེས་ཡོན་སོདཔ་ཨིན། ཤེས་ཡོན་སོད་ཐངས་ཡང་ནང་པའི་རིག་གཞུང་དང་དབྱིན་སྐད་གཉིས་ཆ་རའི་ནང་ རྒྱལ་ཡོངས་དང་ རྒྱལ་སྤྱིའི་གནས་ཚད་དང་མཐུན་པའི་ཞིབ་འཚོལ་དང་སྐད་འགྱུར་གི་ལས་རིམ་ཚུ་གི་ཐོག་ལས་ སོདཔ་ཨིན།

Programme

The Institute offers the Bachelor Degree in Buddhist Studies for both regular and continuing education for the duration of four years. The course is further categorized into Rigzhung and English curriculums to prepare the leaners both nationally and internationally competent through research and translation means.

Outcomes of the Programme:

1. Students will be able to understand the importance of learning Buddha Dharma.
2. Students will be able to distinguish the good qualities and faults of mind.
3. Students will have adequate knowledge of the tradition and heritage of Bhutan.
4. Students can be able to teach Buddhist texts.
5. Learners will be competent in both reading and writing in Dzongkha and English.
6. Students can make perfect distinction between truth and falsehood by relying on the knowledge of Buddhist Epistemology.
7. Learners will be taught to uplift the moral values and ethics such as to be obedient to elders and affectionate to youngers.
8. Students will be able to explain the origin of Buddha Dharma.
9. Students can conduct research works in both Dzongkha and English languages.
10. Students will be able to practice Buddhist meditations on their own.
11. Students can be able to opt for teaching professions in English language.
12. Students will have ICT skills in both Dzongkha and English contexts.
13. The essence of Driglam Namzha will be acquired by the learners Students will get skills to translate from Dzongkha to English and vice versa.
14. Students will get skills to translate from Dzongkha to English and vice versa.
